An awkward, underutilized kitchenette in this garden-level bedroom presented an opportunity to significantly improve both function and livability. By reimagining the space, the design converts what was once unused square footage into a fully integrated ensuite bath.

A key technical challenge was the relocation of the home’s electrical panel from the kitchenette to the exterior, a strategic move that enabled a clean, efficient layout within a compact footprint and to be code-compliant. Despite its modest size, the ensuite feels intentional and refined. Green tile adds depth and character, while a natural white oak vanity brings warmth and balance. The natural light further elevates the space, reinforcing a sense of calm and openness.

The result is a small but impactful intervention. A once-overlooked area was transformed into a highly functional, private ensuite and adds meaningful value to the home through thoughtful planning and restraint.
